Connection is via a round sterling silver hinge clasp. You have a few option with this style of clasp. you can wear with the pendant attached to the hinge or you can remove the pendant and wear it as a solo chain.
Measurements taken when necklace is laying flat and stretched out with clasps at opposite ends. (from clasp to clasp). It does not take into account the pendant. 50.5 cm
