We are shaped by what we return to.
For Rico Designs, it has always been the ocean.
The movement of water, the textures left by salt and stone, sun on skin, silver worn daily and without thought — these are the things that continue to shape the brand.
Founded in Sydney in 2010 by Richelle, Rico Designs began with a love for jewellery that felt personal, lived in, and connected to the lifestyle surrounding it. Pieces that could move through everyday life — through ocean dips, travel, long days, changing seasons and shifting versions of ourselves.
What started as a creative outlet from a very young age quickly became something deeper, evolving alongside Richelle through different seasons of life, including her transition into motherhood.
Every collection is still influenced by the coast and by the feeling of returning to the places that ground us. Limestone textures, washed metals, worn silver, palms moving in the wind, shells collected over time, memories attached to pieces worn every day.
Jewellery has always held meaning beyond appearance.
The pieces we wear become part of routine, memory, identity and ritual. They carry traces of where we’ve been — salt air, movement, time, travel, life.
